Founding And Developing

The Green Apple was founded at the end of 80s, the bud of the digital market of China. In the past decade, the Green Apple has taken part and finished dozens of huge data projects home or abroad, switching itself from the solo product manufacturer to enterprise of diversified business, which makes itself a major digital product manufacturer and content provider.

At the beginning, for the purpose of raising money to jointly develop TPS, the youth of teachers from four universities in Hunan Province, were involved in the digital data processing and that became the rudiment of the Green Apple.

In 1992, the Green Apple, which registered as an independent corporate enterprise, created its developing environment. Years later, based on the little original capital, the Green Apple, by undertaking dozens of processing projects, has ceaselessly accumulated capital and talents and promoted the development of the enterprise's scale and manufacture techniques, with the number of its employees increasing from dozens to hundreds.

In 1995, the Green Apple made a strategic decision to choose the PDF technique of Adobe as its major technique platform, which had a major influence on its persisting development. The Green Apple put out first the Chinese PDF conversion technique and used this technique to finish dozens of projects, which established its leading role in the same industry of domestic market. In 1997, to meet the newspapering's requirements about format, the Green Apple began to research and develop the manufacture technique of files of PDF format in complex format and put out first the Chinese newspaper in electronic version in China-The world cup bulletin. Since that, the Green Apple cooperated with the department of electronic engineering of Tsinghua University to develop “Tsinghua OCR-2000” and gradually made the restoration technique of journals mature, what is more, had successfully finished two huge projects: the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily and the electronic version of the People's Daily.

The diversified business of digital products greatly enhanced the Green Apple's energy in the market. Since 1999, the Green Apple put out over 50 kinds of digital products, including e-newspapers, e-journals, e-books and computer corpus which are rich in content and diversified in format. The market responded excellently and the Green Apple e-books have been recognized as the mainstream products in the domestic market.

With dozens of years' deploitation and accumulation, the Green Apple's manufacture has entered the markets of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and U.S.A, and the products have covered the areas of Asia, America and Europe. In the coming ten years, the Green Apple will enter a period of fast growing and will run fast towards the goal of walking out of China, walking towards the world and becoming bigger and stronger

The Green Apple mainly deals with the manufacturing and processing of digital products, including web pages, databases and e-publications; developing, investing, publishing and distributing of digital products, mostly the e-books, e-journals and computer corpus.

The Green Apple now has over 200 employees, including professionals and managers with majors about computer, foreign language, Chinese, books, art and management and 150 computer operators.
